A season of love and grace.A season of belongingness and togetherness carols and Gifts. Christmas - the Annual festival to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ,was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervor as a joyous family affairs at St.Montfort School premises by the Montfortians Family on23rd Dec 2017.The Occasion was also important and special for Montfortians as it was the Golden Birthday Jubilee of our beloved Principal Rev.Bro.T.Alex.
The programme began with the grand welcome procession in the typical Kerala style with “Chendamelamâ€. Unlike other years, the programme was initiated by Father Christmas –Santa Claus whobought the welcome message along with gifts and goodies, on seeing which the delight of kids were uncontained. Following this was a prayer song and a Pantomime on the life of Lord Jesus Christ. In a special message section balloon bunches with inherent qualities written were released in the air by Rev.Bro.Alex. The Highlight of the Programme was the Cake cutting ceremony and releasing Doves in the air showing freedom and limitless potential of his character. Students from each sections sticked50leaves with characters onto a tree which was symbolic for Rev.Bro.Alex and with lot of wishes, prayers and blessing for his good health and prosperity. The students presented a few melodious prize winning carols exhibiting the nativity scene performed in the Interschool and Intraschool Competitions held in the month of Dec.The small kids of Primary, Senior and Hindi Medium danced on feet tapping numbers expressing their joy and filling the air with Christmassy Festivity.
The Celebratory customs of gift giving was symbolic of the spirit of Christmas-Charity, mercy, benevolence and forbearance.Rev. Brother. Alex in his Christmas message conveyed the students to inculcate in them the qualities of togetherness and mercy that Christmas spreads.He thanked them for all lovely wishes and blessed the students with great health and success in the future.The Entire Montfort premises shined with the Christmas decorations, lights, stars and Christmas trees and each hearts filled with peace, happiness and contentment.
The duel celebration of Christ’s Birth and our dear Principal’s Birthday
drenched the entire Montfortian family in love, reverence, joy, vibrant zeal and
enthusiasm. Thus the year 2017 concluded and bid farewell on a positive and
happy note.
