Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings, Teachers’ day is celebrated to show the acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards the development of the students.
Teachers’ day was celebrated at St.Montfort School with great respect love and enthusiasm. The teachers were welcomed amidst a big round of applause and cheers.The ceremonial lamp was lit by the Principal Rev.Bro.Alex, Vice Principal Rev. Bro. John Minz,Headmistress of Primary Wing, CO- Ordinators invoking God’s blessings and a Floral tribute was paid to the great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnana.The programme started with the prayer song,few scintillating dance performances by the students of both primary as well as secondary wings. The power was packed, entertaining skits were thoroughly enjoyed by each one present. A band performance by the talented musicians of the scholl was the cream on the lovely cake.
A cake cutting ceremony was followed by the felicitation of the teaching as well as the non-teaching staff who competed more than 15 years in the school Principal Rev.Bro. Alex advised the children to follow the footsteps of the experienced teachers and also to create an impression of their footsteps.Finally vote of thanks was proposed by Krishna Kapil sir, thanking the cabinet and the students for presenting an entertaining programme.
The afternoon programme of the teacher’s was performed by the teachers of primary wing as well as the secondary wing.Melodious solo songs were sung by Mrs. Nitya Dave and Mr. Krishna Kapil.The day winded up on a cheerful note.
