On the occasion of Janamasthmi, a special assembly was conducted by the students of class X B of St.Montfortschool on Wednesday 16 August 2017.Janamasthmiis afestival which demonstrates the earthly arrivals of lord Krishna.
The assembly began with a child playing the role of “timeâ€speaking of what it witnessed since the creation of this universe and that evil has always tried to gain victory over good.
A brief glimpse into the event which took place driving the birth of lord Krishna was depicted magnificently by the students. This was followed by a dance which expressed Krishna’s lovable expression during his childhood.
The highlight of the assembly were the dance and traditional “DahiHandi†, that is the breaking of pot with butter tied at a height. The assembly ended with a message on the significance of Janamasthmi that good always triumphs over evil.
