The 8th Montfort Cup Inter School Music Carnival was organized on 17/1/17 in the
St. Montfort school premises. The theme on which the songs were to be presented was ‘Nature’. Many prestigious schools of Bhopal participated in the event. The Judges on the occasion were eminent artists Mr. Gerald Gabriel Arockiaswamyand Mr. Sudeep Chandra. The event started with the lighting of the lamp. The participating schools were arranged in  teams Ato I. The students were from classes 3rd to 5th. Each school was given 10 minutes to present a solo song and a group song. Eachteam consisted of 12 singers and 3 instrumentalists. All the teams performed very well. The winners of the various categories wereas follows

Solo Song: First- Carmel Convent School B.H.E.L, Runners Up- Holy Family convent School
Group Song- First-Carmel Convent School B.H.E.L Runners Up- Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar
Best Compre- St Pauls School, Anand Nagar.
OVER ALL CHAMPION- Carmel Convent School, B.H.E.L
The judges applauded the efforts of the young singers and musicians and thanked the school authorities for the platform provided. School Principal Rev. Bro Alex facilitated the  judges. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
