Sports Day 1st Dec 2016

St.Montfort senior secondary school celebrated its sports meet on the theme "Swach Bharat": for the primary section III- VI of the present academic year 2016-17 on 1st December in its school ground.
The programme started with the welcoming of the Chief Guest, Mr. A.k. Jain General Manager, BHEL, Bhopal, Guest of Honour Mr. Ashiv Jain, International Basket Ball Player and Special Guest Bro James Ekka, Chairman of Montfort Group of Education, Province of Delhi. The Children greeted the guests with welcome song which was followed   by an enchanting prayer dance.
Principal Rev. Bro. Alex welcomed the guests on behalf of the entire school. The school flag was hoisted  by the Chief Guest  and inspected the contingents .The different contingents presented  a beautiful  march past with perfect hand to hand  movements along with the band .Oath was taken by the Primary Head Girl, Anshika Singh Chouhan, followed by the torch run by the Head Boy, Head Girl, state players , national players, International players  led by sports secretary, Somesh Panjawani.Then we had different track  and field events like wear all the things, 50 meters for  Std.III, hurdle race and drum race for boys and girls, back to back balloon  race for Std.VI girls, relay race of std VI both  boys and girls  and 100m and coconut race for Std. IV were conducted  .
The students of std. III performed a dance on pollution of water, air and noise, Std. IV presented on cutting of trees ,Std. V presented  a dance on drought  and std. VI performed  on clean  India.
Students of Hindi medium run by Montfort Group of education had an event of get ready for the school.
An event for the parents which was named “Hum kisi se kam nahi” was organized. Finally the students performed the Zoomba dance with 100% participation and rope skipping display was beautifully performed by the students and the lotus formation with the message of "Green India, Green Montfort" by presenting a sapling to our honorable Chief Guest was the culmination. Chief Guest then shared his experiences and knowledge with the children and appreciated them for their beautiful presentation and the hard work behind the spectacular show.
Awards for Excellence in academics of the year 2015-16 for Std II, III, IV, V was given away along with best athletes for girls and boys in each classes.
A Memento was presented to the Chief Guest, Mr. A.k Jain and Guest of Honour  Mr. Ashiv Jain by our Principal Rev. Bro. Alex .
Finally the vote of thanks was proposed by Vice Principal Rev. Bro. William and the programme was winded up with the National Anthem sung by the school Choir.
