Keeping the festive spirit alive, Primary wing of St. Montfort School celebrated Dussehra on 17thOctober 2018. India is known as a land of festival and celebration and “Dussehra†is one of them which is unique in its perception and significance. It is a big festival of Hindus. It marks the victory of goodness over the evil. In a way, the festival is symbolic and carries a big message. On this day, as the legend says, Lord Rama had killed Ravan and liberated his wife Sita from his captivity. The festival comes 20 days ahead of Diwali. Student of Class II F participated in special assembly. The students performed a beautiful skit on a song related to Rama. The colourful attire worn by the students was eye-catching. They were dressed up as the character of the great epic Ramayana like Lord Rama, Lakshman, Sita, Ravan etc. The festivities were filled with great joy and enthusiasm. They showed the message that good always triumphs over evil, the effigy of Ravana was burnt along with which students burnt one bad habit, while promising to shun it.
