St. Montfort School, Patel Nagar Primary Wing Presented a Special Assembly on two most important days – "Mahaveer Jayanti" and “Good Friday". Students of Class II F Narrated about the two occasions. Mahaveer was born on the thirteenth day in the month of chaitra in the year 599 BC. When the world saw the difference between the rich and the poor, at that auspicious time, Mahaveer Jain, the founder of Jainism in India establish a mission of having a life full of peace and prosperity. Mahaveer preached non-violence and prohibited killing. Students offered flowers infront of the portrait of Mahaveer to show honor and respect. After this students presented a small skit telling about the speciality Good Friday. On a Friday two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth was crucified. Powerful members of the religious, political and military communications colluded to strip him, mock him publicly and crucify him. Yet two millennia later, Christians – who believe that Jesus is the Son of God – celebrate the day by calling it Good Friday. It's called 'Good Friday' because even while powerful men were conspiring to kill son of God, God himself was acting to save the world from its sin, once for all by Sacrificing the life of his only son. Children of class II F performed a dance at the end in honor of Jesus Christ.
