Students of class I-E of St. Montfort School, Patel Nagar, Bhopal presented morning assembly on topic “DIWALIâ€. The assembly started with the morning prayer followed by Ganesh Vandana. They spoke about how people clean and decorate their homes with Diyas, rangoli, flowers on this auspicious day. There after students performed skit, dance, song etc through which they explained the importance of “DIWALIâ€. Students made children aware that Diwali is one of India’s biggest festival. It marks the return of Lord Rama from fourteen years of exile and his victory over the demon Ravana.They also shared the fact that people worship Goddess Lakshmi on this day. The students sang a devotional song on “DIWALIâ€. A scintillating dance performance by the students added much exuberance and joy to the assembly. All this was performed under the guidance of our principal Rev. Brother Monachan, headmistress Sr. Christy and the incharge teachers. There after our principal Rev. Brother Monachan shared some knowledge about “DIWALIâ€. He shared a good thought followed as “Diya are God’s way of telling us that there will always be light to drive away darkness. May the light of diyas spread joy to your lifeâ€.
