REPORT ON VAN MAHOTSAV

On 2nd July 2016, St. Montfort School celebrated Van Mahotsav day. It is an annual tree planting festivals in the India celebrated in 1st week of July. The Van Mahotsav festival of trees is a beautiful initiative to save the environment to which we owe a lot. The children spoke on the importance of trees in our life in the assembly and gave the message to conserve the environment and plant more trees. A prominent message was given that “Trees mean water, water mean bread and bread is life”. An inspirational skit on trees was presented by class II students of choir group. The Principal of St. Montfort School Rev. Bro. T. Alex appreciated the presentation and spoke on the importance and relevance of the theme. He also encouraged the students to plant trees and not just to plant but to ensure that it grows well and it is properly nurtured. Children from Classes KGII, I, IIbrought sapling and overall in the garden. Overall the assembly was meaningful and motivated everyone to plant more and more trees.
